Misting systems are outdoor cooling solutions that use evaporative cooling to lower ambient temperatures by up to 15°C (30°F). By forcing water through specialized nozzles at high pressure, these systems create an ultra-fine mist that evaporates almost instantly, absorbing heat from the air without making surfaces or people wet.

Types of Misting Systems

The effectiveness of a system depends primarily on its operating pressure:

High-Pressure Systems (1,000 PSI): The industry standard for commercial and high-end residential use. They produce the finest droplets (5 microns), ensuring "flash evaporation" and maximum cooling without residual moisture.

Low-Pressure / DIY Kits (Hose Pressure): These attach directly to a standard garden tap. While inexpensive and easy to install, they produce larger droplets that can cause "ponding" and may make furniture wet.
